VALENTINO Fall 2025
Chez Valentino: A Still World

written Alban E. Smajli

A figure pauses inside a diner. Outside, a horse walks past. A bowl of ice cream melts slowly in a hand. Each moment unfolds without hurry. Each frame stays still, long enough for the viewer to feel it.

The Valentino Fall 25 ADV campaign opens with a fixed gaze. Directed by Glen Luchford and shaped by the vision of Alessandro Michele, the campaign introduces a new rhythm. The world is quiet, grounded in repetition and gesture. This rhythm carries through every element—from styling to set design, from casting to soundtrack.

LE MILE Magazine VALENTINO FALL 2025 ADV CAMPAIGN by Glen Luchford images

The scenes exist as fragments of a larger fabric. A lavender heel rests on the edge of a step. A parrot perches beside embroidered fabric. Denim falls over worn tile. A varsity sweater with “CHEZ VALENTINO” stitched across the chest becomes part of the space around it. No hierarchy, no accent—only layers.

Jonathan Kaye’s styling anchors this language. Leopard prints, lace gloves, school socks, floral jacquards—each piece chosen to inhabit a mood. The silhouettes carry weight, softness, eccentricity, repetition. Hair by Paul Hanlon and makeup by Yadim Carranza follow the same path: clear, finished, quiet. Faces hold time. Eyes stay in place. Nothing interrupts.

The setting builds this continuity. An American-style diner, faded and sunlit, contains the action. A bar, a sidewalk, a bicycle. Elements repeat. Light falls evenly. Set designer Gideon Ponte constructs a container for gesture.

In his campaign note, Alessandro Michele writes of attention. His words shape the framework: “a policy of attention, an ethics for the gaze.” He draws focus toward gestures, toward morning light, toward a door that opens and closes. The camera remains fixed. The world continues moving inside it.

The talent list includes Amelia Gray, Sophie Thatcher, Kai Schreiber, Lorenzo Zurzolo, and others. Their presence offers texture. Their movement—slow, occasional, internal—forms the pulse of the campaign. Each person belongs to the scene. No character. No pose. Just observation.

Fabric plays its own role. A glittering Mary Jane steps onto concrete. Fringes catch wind. Mesh, velvet, satin, cotton—each fabric marks the body differently, holds the light differently. Each piece expands the world around it. Clothing becomes the pace.

Music by Juliette Armanet supports this tempo. Imaginer l’Amour plays softly, connecting one frame to the next. It opens space and adds tone without direction.

Repetition forms the spine of the campaign. A frame. A gesture. A return. This structure creates clarity. There is no build-up, no conclusion, but only movement held in place. Time stretches. The Valentino Fall 25 campaign offers an aesthetic grounded in the everyday. The material speaks directly. The vision lingers. There is no urgency, no volume, no interruption.

Michele draws from observation, not intervention. The everyday becomes the shape. The rhythm becomes the message. Stillness becomes the container. Each choice—from casting to color, from cut to frame—builds this language. The world appears complete. Within this frame, Valentino opens a new chapter. The campaign steps forward through attention, repetition, and the poetics of gesture. Clothing rests inside the world. Scenes unfold in silence. The result is a steady, crafted introduction, it´s an invitation to remain. Enjoy!

THE FABRIC OF NOW
*Paris Fashion Week 2025 Highlights

written ALBAN E. SMAJLI

Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2025-2026 unfolded as an encoded manifesto, where fabric became language and silhouettes spoke in tongues. Designers unearthed buried histories, reconstructing past blueprints into a future without borders.

The runway was an evolving stage—DIOR dismantled gender constructs, LOUIS VUITTON mapped the velocity of movement, VALENTINO engineered intimacy as spectacle. Vans infiltrated Valentino, threading rebellion through the needle of luxury. This was a transmission. CHLOÉ reactivated an artifact, the Paddington bag, as an emblem of memory in motion. ZIMMERMANN stretched the seams between myth and reality. Vans infiltrated Valentino, threading rebellion through the needle of luxury.

VALENTINO Ready-To-Wear Fall/Winter 2025/2026

Alessandro Michele’s Fall/Winter 2025-2026 collection for VALENTINO continued his redefinition of the house’s identity, expanding on the foundations set in his debut. The show, titled Le Méta-Théâtre Des Intimités, transformed the runway into a dystopian, Lynchian space, evoking the surreal ambiance of a public restroom—an environment stripped of traditional constructs, where personal and collective identities dissolve.

Structured ‘70s-inspired suits, sculptural coats, and richly embellished dresses unfolded in deep VALENTINO red, ivory, and ink black, carrying an almost ritualistic quality. The collaboration with VANS introduced a new dimension, reworking the classic Authentic sneaker in bold checkerboard patterns and an “I Love My Vans” motif intertwined with VALENTINO’s logo. Lace veils layered over raw-edged tailoring, gloves extended beyond the elbow, and sculptural accessories punctuated the silhouettes with a sense of quiet subversion. Michele’s vision explored intimacy as a performative space, where identity is neither fixed nor singular but constantly in flux, layered like fabric, revealing and concealing with each movement.

DIOR Ready-To-Wear Fall/Winter 2025/2026

Maria Grazia Chiuri's Fall 2025 collection for DIOR was a sartorial journey through time, drawing inspiration from Virginia Woolf's "Orlando" to blur the lines between masculinity and femininity. The runway transformed into a theatrical spectacle, with models navigating a set adorned with mechanical pterodactyls and looming icebergs, evoking a sense of timelessness and evolution.

Chiuri revisited the archives, paying homage to predecessors like Gianfranco Ferré and John Galliano. The reimagined white shirt, a nod to Ferré's architectural approach, became a canvas for exploration, featuring detachable ruffled collars reminiscent of Elizabethan ruffs, symbolizing the fluidity of identity. The collection's palette transitioned from somber blacks to ethereal whites, mirroring the narrative of transformation. Lace gowns juxtaposed with military-inspired coats underscored the harmonious blend of strength and delicacy. The revival of the "J'adore Dior" T-shirt, an emblem of Galliano's era, was recontextualized, bridging past and present. Chiuri's exploration of gender-bending silhouettes and the interplay of historical motifs with contemporary aesthetics reaffirmed Dior's commitment to innovation while honoring its rich legacy.

LOUIS VUITTON Ready-To-Wear Fall/Winter 2025/2026

Nicolas Ghesquière's vision for LOUIS VUITTON's Fall/Winter 2025-2026 collection was a love letter to the golden age of train travel, encapsulating the romance and anticipation of journeys. Staged at the historic Gare du Nord, the show immersed attendees in the bustling ambiance of a Parisian train station, complete with the rhythmic hum of Kraftwerk's "Trans-Europe Express."

Ghesquière presented an eclectic array of silhouettes, from voluminous midi skirts paired with heavyweight knit vests to pinstriped boiler suits accented with vivid scarves. The accessories were a testament to LOUIS VUITTON's legacy in travel, with models clutching steamer-inspired handbags and oversized duffel totes, reminiscent of classic luggage pieces.

The collaboration with set designer Es Devlin resulted in a runway that mirrored the transient nature of travel, with models embodying characters from various walks of life, each telling their own story. This new collection celebrates the art of travel, highlighting the brand’s connection to movement, heritage, and design, with historical elements woven into a contemporary vision that unfolds as a continuous narrative.

CHLOÉ Ready-To-Wear Fall/Winter 2025/2026

Under the creative direction of Chemena Kamali, CHLOÉ's Fall/Winter 2025-2026 collection was an ode to the multifaceted nature of femininity, exploring the interplay between strength and softness. Kamali studied the archives, reviving the iconic Paddington bag, a beloved accessory from the early 2000s, now reimagined for the modern woman.

The runway showcased a harmonious blend of opulence and practicality, with lavish, embellished dresses juxtaposed against pared-down, utilitarian pieces. Broad logo belts cinched sheer, low-rise maxi skirts, adding a touch of structure to the ethereal ensembles. Ballet flats, poised to become the season's must-have, offered an effortlessly chic touch, embodying the brand's signature blend of elegance and ease. Kamali's exploration of plurality and the influences that shape women's identities resulted in a collection that felt very personal and universally relatable, resonating with women across generations.

ZIMMERMANN Ready-To-Wear Fall/Winter 2025/2026

Nicky Zimmermann’s Fall 2025 collection, Hypnotic, built a world where storytelling unfolded in fabric, silhouette, movement. Inspired by the haunting atmosphere of Picnic at Hanging Rock on its 50th anniversary, the collection absorbed the film’s lingering sense of mystery without directly referencing its costumes. Instead, elements from the narrative were distilled into textures, structures, and motifs that shaped each look with quiet precision.

Lace-trimmed lingerie dresses, pinstripe suits, and structured wool coats introduced a balance of softness and strength, while hidden details—maps of Mt. Macedon printed on silk, hand-drawn Valentine’s Day cards stitched between layers of chiffon—wove subtle fragments of the story into the collection. The use of Mongolian shearling, leather-wrapped boots, and braided trims reinforced a tactile complexity, adding depth to the compositions without overpowering their fluidity. A shift in palette from soft, sunlit hues to deep moss greens and midnight blues signaled an evolving mood, with textures becoming richer and silhouettes taking on a more dramatic form.

Polished stone jewelry and an almond-shaped suede bag introduced grounding elements to the collection, serving as counterpoints to the weightlessness of chiffon and the elongation of sleeves. ZIMMERMANN shaped Hypnotic with an attention to atmosphere, allowing the garments to move between clarity and enigma.

Valentino SS25 moves beyond the realm of fashion, unfolding as a staged delirium where beauty performs in its purest form.

Alessandro Michele constructs a world where nothing is static, garments exist in flux, and identity bends toward theatrical excess. The collection channels movement—not as a metaphor, but as a tangible force. Fashion, in its essence, is a construction. Here, it is also a deconstruction, an invitation, a distortion.

Each campaign frame is a performance, captured through Glen Luchford’s lens. Fabric rustles, lace distorts, silk drapes and clings with the inevitability of a script already written. The past lingers in embroidered surfaces, but the gesture is present, immediate. Rooms, once confined, stretch into liminal stages where models become vessels of transformation.

The cast moves through this imagined theater with the quiet tension of something unscripted. Jonathan Kaye’s styling sharpens the characters: punctuated silhouettes, lace gloved hands, the weight of a brocade, the sharp punctuation of a heel bow-tied in velvet.

The maison’s codes thread through the composition, but the script shifts. The stage is the Pavillon des Folies, a place without fixed identity, where beauty acts as a force, not an object. Alessandro Michele directs, but the narrative unfolds as an open-ended provocation.

VALENTINO Valentine’s Day 2025

Avant les Débuts with VALENTINO
*A Love Letter Rewritten

written MONICA DE LUNA

Maison Valentino’s Valentine’s Day 2025 is a riot of intimacy and rebellion. Under Alessandro Michele’s audacious creative direction, the ‘Avant les Débuts’ collection fractures traditional romance and pieces it back together into something electrifying.

Michele crafts accessories as conduits for emotion. Valentino Garavani’s signature Rockstud evolves into jagged, elongated forms—a tactile declaration of passion’s complexity. The collection hums with tension: metal edges collide with supple leather, each piece demanding touch while resisting easy understanding. These are objects that engage with desire in its purest form.

Valentino Valentines Day Campaign 2025 LE MILE Magazine

The campaign imagery pulses with energy, refusing stasis. Sienna Murdoch’s kinetic work infuses an almost spectral quality—earrings captured mid-motion, belts twisting as if alive. Natasha Stagg’s layered prose threads through the visuals, creating a fragmented narrative that invites curiosity and disorientation.

Color in this collection agitates rather than soothes. Deep carmine flares against muted blush, with threads of gold drawing the viewer into unexpected depths. Michele uses these tones to evoke the sensory aftermath of unforgettable connection, each shade alive with intent.

Sound becomes another layer of storytelling. Frederic Sanchez’s auditory composition infects the campaign, with metallic whispers and creaking leather forming an intimate, voyeuristic atmosphere. These pieces don’t merely exist; they resonate, breathe, and linger.

‘Avant les Débuts’ transcends Valentine’s Day conventions, reimagining love as an experience of power and vulnerability. Alessandro Michele invites us to let go of sentimentality and embrace something sharper and more vital. Maison Valentino’s latest creation provokes, unsettles, and demands to be felt.

As the city of lights becomes the focal point for the fashion elite, Alessandro Michele crafts his own prelude at Maison Valentino with the Resort 2025 collection, "Avant Les Débuts." This is Michele´s debut and a sprawling narrative woven into the seams and fibers of over 260 enigmatic looks, each a chapter in this symphony of design.

Alessandro Michele steps into his new role as Creative Director and immerses himself in the depths of Valentino’s rich heritage, resurfacing with a collection that’s as much a dialogue with Valentino’s storied past as it is a bold script for the future.

From the tactile pleasures of lush velvet against the smoothness of silk to the rebellious undertones of rugged denim paired with the delicate sheerness of chiffon, Michele speaks the language of contrasts fluently. His collection dances along the lines of gender, dismissing binaries with a flourish of floral embroidered suits and gowns that boast structure and fluidity—a testament to Michele’s vision of a fashion world unbound by traditional norms.

Beads catch the light, sequins tell tales, and prints pull the eye into stories yet untold. These are not merely decorations but declarations of intent, each piece meticulously crafted to challenge and captivate.

Silhouettes are bold, statements in themselves—from the precision of tailored jackets to the drama of oversized blazers, each line and curve is a deliberate stroke of Michele’s creative brush. Billowing skirts and slender trousers are paired with avant-garde accessories.

The color palette is an emotional spectrum, grounding earth tones disrupted by eruptions of vivid reds, electric blues, and radiant yellows. These are the colors of a new dawn, one that Alessandro Michele heralds with the finesse of a maestro at the helm of his orchestra, coaxing out a melody of renewal and timeless charm.

VALENTINO LE SALON
Haute Couture for the Contemporary Epoch

written Alban E. Smajli

Pierpaolo Piccioli, Valentino's maestro of couture, has just turned the page on fashion's narrative, presenting a LE SALON collection that speaks of a luxurious past, whispered to a cutting-edge present.

This Spring/Summer 2024 line is a cultural reset — a sartorial symphony where every note is crafted by hand, every rhythm is tailored to perfection, and every harmony resonates with the pulse of NOW.

VALENTINO Haute Couture 2024 LE SALON LE MILE Magazine runway

LE SALON revives the intimate couture showings of yore, those exclusive gatherings that were as much about the artistry as they were about the show. Piccioli takes us back to that era of whispered elegance, but with a modern dialect. Today's LE SALON is about reflecting the present, capturing the essence of what it means to dress with timelessness in an age that ticks by in tweets and likes.

The collection weaves a dialogue of contrasts that's as rich and complex as any modern-day narrative. Imagine pragmatic silhouettes clashing with flights of fantasy, the boldness of structure melting into the fluidity of drapes, and a color palette that runs from the hush of monochrome to the shout of technicolor.

The hand of the artisan is ever-present in LE SALON. Gold wraps the body in a liquid embrace, while fabrics are conjured into illusions that flirt with the senses — think organza that ripples like water and sequins cut to mimic the spontaneity of nature.

This is couture that tells the truth, pieces that stand as a testament to the tangible, the handcrafted, the real amidst the virtual mirage of our everyday.

Valentino's Place Vendôme salons, steeped in the mythology of fashion's gilded age, become the stage for this intimate revelation. Here, haute couture isn't just seen; it's felt. It's a tactile experience, a close encounter with the divine details that only the hand can create and only the heart can appreciate.

With LE SALON, the spectacle is no longer just about the drama of the runway. It's about the personal, the silent conversations between the wearer and the worn, the creator and the created. This collection is an experience, a moment of beauty witnessed, a ritual where every stitch, every hem, every embroidered bead is a testament to the soul of haute couture.

Piccioli's vision for Valentino is a dance of history and modernity, an invitation to pause in our ceaseless scrolling, to touch and to feel the weight of fabric, the cool kiss of gold, the whisper of silk.

It's a call to remember that amidst the ephemeral, the essence of human artistry endures.

VALENTINO LE CIEL 20.24
New Masculine Ethos

written Sarah Arendts

For VALENTINO's new Fall/Winter 2024/25 collection, Pierpaolo Piccioli captures the essence of the sky at dusk, distilling it into a shade of light blue that challenges and reshapes the very mold of masculinity.

This collection dares to question and overturn the traditional tenets of men's fashion, heralding a new era where color becomes a loudspeaker for personal expression and the silhouette, a canvas for innovation.

VALENTINO MEN FW24 LE CIEL 20.24 LE MILE Magazine

LE CIEL 20.24 is a manifesto, challenging the gendered connotations of color and cutting through the fabric of societal norms with a tailored blade. The Maison's new narrative threads freedom of choice with the needle of contemporary tailoring, crafting pieces that speak in volumes and tones, as varied as the sky itself.

Piccioli's VALENTINO doesn't just clothe a man; it clothes the man. The collection embraces a fluidity of form, a softness of silhouette that defies the rigid confines of traditional menswear. It's a dialogue between the delicate and the bold, where oversized coats and structured layers meet the unexpected tenderness of pastel turtlenecks peeking through.

The art of layering is redefined, allowing for an exploration of texture and tone that invites curiosity and demands a second glance. The collection’s embroidery, inspired by Renaissance stucco and the Maison's own High Relief technique, is a statement, a reimagining of masculinity that's both intricate and bold.

Piccioli's palette is an odyssey in itself, a journey from ethereal whites and greys to a crescendo of audacious lilacs, greens, and reds. These hues explode, disrupting the grayscale of winter with the ferocity of a paint-streaked rebellion.

The Maison's fabric choices are a textured narrative—cotton is elevated, suede and leather are woven into the everyday, and formalwear is infused with the casual comfort of sweatshirts and tracksuits.

It’s a high-low mix that blurs the lines between the industrial and the opulent.

Accessories are not afterthoughts; they are exclamation points. The Valentino Garavani accessories, with the new VLogo The Bold Edition and the VLogo Moon Bag, punctuate the collection. Footwear, too, from the GentleGlam to the hybrid Runboot, walks the fine line between emblematic Maison symbolism and the freshness of the street.

It´s a sartorial revolution, where the sky is not the limit, but the starting point.

Valentino´s LE CIEL 20.24 collection is a new dialect for the modern man. Piccioli rewrites the narrative of masculinity with a collection that dares to be soft, to be romantic, to be intuitive.

Alongside a glamorous entourage, Rosie invites us into an evening of extravagance, embodying the role of a gracious hostess within the mystical walls of Place Vendôme, Valentino's historic headquarters.

This season, Valentino unveils an exclusive array of looks, from the relaxed and subdued to the sparkling and extravagant. The collection boasts an array of party dresses adorned with intricate embroideries, feather jumpers, crystal mini dresses, and couture jackets in tweed and crêpe, alongside high-end denim options. The festive dress code is a blend of preciousness and sophisticated aura, notably highlighted by the new Valentino Garavani VLogo Moon bag and the iconic Valentino Garavani Locò in holiday colors, complete with special sequins and ultra-mini dimensions. The footwear selection, including the new Valentino Garavani Rose-Rouche 1959 pumps and the iconic Rockstud pumps and ballerinas, adds a final touch of elegance.

For men, the collection presents a sleek narrative with black and white suited looks, sequin-adorned bombers, and jackets finished with floral and butterfly flourishes, crafting an undeniable evening statement.

The standout star of the season, the Valentino Garavani VLogo Moon bag, embodies a balance between daytime ease and evening sophistication. Inspired by the crescent moon, this versatile accessory is crafted from supple Stampa Alce leather, adorned with a bold metal chain, and features an elliptic VLogo Signature as its centerpiece. Available in an enticing palette of couture hues and various sizes, from the extra-large to the miniature, the bag mirrors the malleable forms of the collection's garments.

VALENTINO BLACK TIE Campaign

VALENTINO BLACK TIE Campaign

VALENTINO Black Tie
Redefining Rebellion & Beauty with Kaia Gerber

written Sarah Arendts

Dive deep into the essence of BLACK TIE, and you find not just a code but a proclamation. A vibrant refutation of established norms and a flirtatious wink at tradition.

VALENTINO, with its latest advertising campaign, is here to declare: norms are out, authenticity is in.

Imagine this: Kaia Gerber, a name that has become synonymous with audacious fashion choices and an undying spark, stands at the heart of this campaign. Photographed by the illustrious Steven Meisel within the grand walls of the Oheka Castle in New York, the imagery whispers tales of punk, beauty, and youth. But beyond this compelling facade, lies an intimate portrayal — the intersection of softness with brazen individuality.

Valentino’s Creative Director, Pierpaolo Piccioli, crafts this narrative, not from the stringent directives of beauty but from a delicate equilibrium. Beauty, as he sees it, is untouched by arbitrary constructs or ossified rules. Instead, it finds its roots in harmony, flowing seamlessly, making waves and crafting stories.

Piccioli's modernized vision resonates with Valentino's iconic elements, from the intricately detailed studs to the majestic roses. They swirl, dance, and juxtapose against the classic, illustrating a lush tale of opulence and grandiosity.

Yet, at the epicenter of it all is an identity. The Valentino Black Tie Advertising Campaign serves as a canvas, showcasing the fiery beauty and confidence of an individual like Kaia who rewrites the rules, choosing her own narrative over dated conventions. Wearing her rebellion like a badge, she challenges, she defies, and in doing so, paves a path for many.

The black tie — an emblem of age-old formalities and traditionally masculine authority — undergoes a metamorphosis. It sheds its old skin, transitioning towards a future of inclusivity and uninhibited self-expression. Here, it stands not just for elegance and authority but heralds a fresh era where diverse voices converge and individual choices reign supreme.

Piccioli has achieved something monumental — he’s reimagined the very fabric of "Black Tie." He's drained its traditional essence, only to infuse it with personal flair, embodying a choice. A choice to be authentic, to defy, and to own one's narrative.

So, as the world turns its gaze towards this audacious campaign, one thing is clear: Valentino’s Black Tie is not just an ensemble; it’s a movement.

Conceived by the visionary minds of Jacopo Venturini, CEO, and Pierpaolo Piccioli, Creative Director of the couture house, the new Valentino store redefines the fashion retail experience. Spanning across three grand floors, the store accommodates women's and men's Prêt-à-porter and accessories, immersing shoppers in an avant-garde universe of style and elegance.

This opening continues Valentino's global expansion journey that began in 2022, with boutiques opening their doors in Madrid, Venice, Jeddah, Geneva, New Delhi, and Florence. Upcoming additions to the list include locations in New York and Shanghai. The Paris store, embodying the serenity and warmth of Valentino's unique in-house concept, amalgamates emotions and materials in an evocative fashion ambiance.

Dedicated to celebrating the artistry of craftsmanship, Valentino's new boutique exhibits an assortment of decorative wonders. Fabio Cinti's hammered brass showcases, Massimiliano Pipolo's ceramic handles, and Parisian artist Alexandre Logé's plaster lights echo the ethereal and dreamlike charm that characterizes the brand.

Adding an artistic spin, the Italian artist Gioele Amaro will adorn the boutique with some of his most emblematic creations from mid June to mid July, 2023.
