Louis Vuitton Cruise Collection 2024
* Enchantment of Isola Bella Unveiled
written Abraham Cruzado
In the resplendent embrace of Isola Bella's Baroque allure, Louis Vuitton unveils a voyage of opulence, style, and mystique with its Cruise 2024 campaign.
The evocative Italian island, with its echoes of ancient legends and ripples of watery folklore, comes alive in a fresh narrative. This season, it's not just about the clothes or accessories; it's about the story they weave in the heart of a place so enriched with history.
English actress Emma Laird, making her campaign debut for the Maison, seems almost like a dreamer stepping into a world unknown. The opening scenes are draped in the soft golden hues of dawn, evoking an ambiance of hesitant exploration and deep-seated curiosity. Adorned in a resplendent piece from Nicolas Ghesquière’s Cruise collection, and with the coveted GO-14 bag elegantly slung over her shoulder, Laird embarks on a journey, making the island's hidden narratives her own.
Yet, she isn't alone in this whimsical exploration. Adding to the canvas of elegance and allure are models Mica Arganaraz, Valentina Castro, Ida Heiner, and Chu Wong. Each face and figure uniquely intertwines with the island's essence, manifesting the fantastical aura of the collection. The synergy is palpable; fashion and folklore dancing together in a timeless embrace.
The visuals curated by Jamie Hakesworth don't merely capture outfits; they encapsulate the very essence of Isola Bella. An island where the stories of the Borromeo family are whispered by the winds and the aquatic legends echo in every ripple of Lake Maggiore. This wasn't the Maison’s first tryst with the island. Earlier in May, the ethereal grounds of Isola Bella played host to the Louis Vuitton Cruise show. A blend of high fashion and dreamy narratives, the show was a heady mix of all things whimsical and wonderful.
