Mallorcan architect Sergi Bastidas and Director of Interior Design, Pilar Garcia-Nieto, teamed up and transformed a former farmhouse into a complex that touts 25 individually designed white-washed spacious rooms constructed from timber, rustic stoneware, and other local materials.
Each room is complete with bohemian style decor and the finestlinens. The simplistic, streamlined design is brought to life through haptic layering of the exterior walls that transition harmoni-ously within the open airy space. Several rooms and suites scatter the landscape of olive, pine and cypress trees that sway in the wind while others have private terraces or lay beside beautiful Mediterranean gardens. The resort flows effortlessly within its environment to keep guests’ experience as authentic as possible. All accommodations offer views overlooking the 40-hectare estate.
King-sized beds belong to high sloping ceilings as asymmetrical wooden beams provide a modern twist to the traditional resort. Floor-to-ceiling linen curtains let the sunshine pour in the interior. Details unique to the Finca include modern wooden furnishings, black steel elements and a taupe color scheme. The bathroom is a vast space with a solar- powered tropical shower brought to you by 300 days of sunshine. The dining area is located just above the resort’s pool where you can take in heavenly moonrise panoramas while enjoying a farm-to-table fusion menu that combines modern culinary with plenty of traditional and local Mallorcan dishes and wines. Finca Serena has three generous kitchen gardens that supply the Restaurant Jacaranda, named after the jacaranda trees that line the driveway leading to the hotel.
The resort allows its guests to unplug and try out its multifaceted ‘Wellbeing Sanctuary’ fit with an indoor pool, fitness centre, sauna, yoga and meditation zones and sun loungers on the outdoor banquette.
